A fan favorite and for good reason! This sandbox at Jack's Place Playground is very large, full of sand toys and has "dinosaur bones" buried inside for those little paleontologists to discover. The sandbox is in full sun and may flood during rainy weather.
Webster Park, Jack's Place
Holt Rd and Lake Rd intersection Webster, NY 14580
This brand new playground is a dinosaur lovers paradise! You will find that there is ample space even when this park gets busy. You can dig for large bones in the sandbox, however, it’s actually rubber pieces not sand! There is a large set of swings, walking structures, slides and two bridges within this play structure. You will notice there are a few different levels to this one, so it is perfect for many different ages
135 County Rd 10, Webster, New York
Drive just a little further from Jack's Place and you will find another sandbox within Webster Town Park! The sandbox and playground are in two seperate areas. The sandbox is on Park Rd by Valley View Shelter, bring your own sand toys! The playground is right off of Holt Rd by Creek Bend Shelter.
Ellwanger and Barry Park

Though the playground at Ellwanger and Barry got a makeover, they did not do away with the sandbox! There are toys and shade to be found at this park!
Kraeg Rd Park
555 Kreag Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534
This sandbox makes it towards the top of the list because it is entirely shaded and it is full of toys! If looking for a sandbox on a hot and sunny day, this is the one to go to!
Mendon Community Playground
26 Mendon Ionia Rd, Mendon, NY 14506
This is a small sandboxes located near the back of a unique wooden playground in the heart of Mendon NY. Bring a sun hat and some toys as this sandbox is located in direct sun without toys.
Wegman Road Park
510 Wegman Rd, Rochester, NY 14624
A large sandbox can be found just in front of the playground at Wegman Road Park in Gates. Bring a sunhat and some toys! This sandbox is bare and in direct sun.
Lorraine Dr, Walworth, NY 14568
This sandbox with digger is hidden in Walworth NY and surrounded with a beautiful playground and hiking trails. Bring the sun hat and check for Poison Ivy and ticks if you hit the trails.
Farmington Town Park
985 Hook Rd, Farmington, NY 14425
Farmington Town park not only has one, but two, sandboxes! One has a digger and the other is handicap accessible. Bring the sand toys but leave the dog at home if heading to this park!
100 Kentucky Ave, Rochester, NY 14606
Lion's park has a large sandbox near the swings and adjacent to a fun and bright playground. It is partially shaded (depending on the time of day) and does not include toys.
Parma Town Park
1300 Hilton Parma Corners Rd, Hilton, NY 14468
There's a lot to be done at Park Town Park including hiking, fishing, and playing in the sand! This sandbox is small, in direct sun and does not have toys!
W Church St and Potter Pl, Fairport, NY 14450
This sandbox has seen better days, though it is a nice addition to this small playground in Fairport. Bring your own toys (and some ambition for weeding if you are feeling generous)
Pumpkin Hook Park

Between the tennis courts and playground, you will find a decent sized sandbox ready to play in. Bring along some sand toys, and let your imagination run free!
Williamson Town Park

This location has so much to offer! There is a spacious playground, climbing wall, electronic music pad, large clean family bathrooms and a little free library. Be sure to bring toys for the sandbox!
Schooner's Riverside Pub
40 Marina Dr, Rochester, NY 14617
Playgrounds aren't the only place in Rochester that has sandboxes. Many farm markets and other businesses have them too! Check out this sandbox right off the water at Schooner's Riverside Pub. The kids play while the parents eat. Some toys are available, but it is recommended you bring some of your own.
