Pros: Barker Park has fun playground with baby swing and regualr swings, different climbing and balancing structures for the older kids and a story walk! The story walk changes on a monthly basis and is on a path good for strollers, bikes and scooters!

Description: This playground in the heart of Canandaigua has thrill seeking metal slides, a tire swing, plenty of opportunities for climbing and a skate park nearby. If heading out on a nice summer day, grab some cash as you might spot some nearby garage sales!

Pros: Kershaw is a beautiful park located right along Canandaigua Lake. There is a nice breeze coming from the lake and a beach with lifeguards nearby. There are paved paths to stroll the lake and fishing access.
Cons: This playground is aimed toward older children with open access to the water and fairly close proximity to the parking lot. There are not any swings and the playground is small. Though the playground is free, there is a fee to get into the swimming area. More on that here. Notes: Dogs are not allowed in the beach or bathhouse area of Kershaw Park. |

Pros: This is an adorable park with fun equipment to play on. The equipment seems to be next to new and in beautiful condition. Along with the play area there are two open are air pavilions, grills, baseball field and volleyball net up and ready for use. Bathrooms were on site and open to the public.
Cons: It is on a busy road but for the truck watchers in your life it’s truck heaven. |

Pros: This Playground is adjacent to a beautiful beach on Canandaigua Lake. After playing, kids can cool off in the water. The playground is well kept, with a variety of play structures. Lifeguards are on duty at the beach. Cons: There are not swings on the playgrounds. This is one of the few playgrounds with a parking fee. Although you can see the water from the playground, it is not a quick run back and forth to the playground and water. The beach is made of of stones rather than sand. Notes: The playground is hidden behind one of the lodges. Head towards the lake and you will see basketball courts on your left. The playground is there as well! There is a fee for parking: $5 on weekdays and $7 on weekends. |

Pros: This playground has a unique pirate ship structure for kids to explore, complete with canons and sails. After navigating the ship, kids can stop and explore the dinosaur egg and skeleton structures. The playground surface is rubber mulch. The park and bathroom facilities are clean and well maintained.
Cons: The playground is in direct sun with few opportunities for shade. |

Pros: Not to be confused with Sonnenberg Gardens, (which can be found across the street), Sonnenberg Park is free to enter with a small playground that includes structures for both younger and older children.
Cons: There is very little parking and the playground is small. Notes: Park Entrance is off of Howell St. |

Pros: For a neighborhood park, this one is very nice. The newer play equipment, a swing set and lots of green space to run around make this one of our favorite neighborhood playgrounds.
Cons: Most of the playground area is fenced in but the area along the road is open. The basketball court is close to the playground. There is not a bathroom on site. |
