Pros: Center park is the perfect park for young children and a family outing. After playing on the large, multi-age-level playground, children can enjoy a story as they walk along the paved path. If you've completed the playground and story path, you can keep going to enjoy some light hiking through the wooded trails. The fun continues as this park also hosts concerts on Sundays and has great sledding in the winter.
Cons: Seating near playground is limited. There is only one grill and therefore not available if the pavilion is being rented. Notes: Parking lot for the playground is off of Ayrault Road. Bathrooms are seasonal. Maps for trails can be found in the Recreation Center. There are concerts and food trucks on Sunday evenings in the summer. Check Schedule here. The recreation center also has an aquatics center in which daily passes can be purchases. |

What We Love: The Farm theme structures on the playground makes this one a highly sought after playground for us! I also love it for the trail that connects to the Lollipop Farm Trail, making it a great destination to pack a lunch and spend the day!
|
Pros: This Farm-themed playground has a trail that connects the playground parking lot to the Lollipop Farm Trail. Other nearby activities include hiking trails through the woods and Lollipop's petting zoo! The playground also features a padded play surface, rather than wood chips. The playground is a good distance from the parking lot and road and is surrounded by plenty of grassy areas for running around.
Cons: Bathrooms are a bit of a walk away and sometimes closed. |

What We Love: The fitness trail is hands down my favorite feature of this park! It gets me out to exercise and is an activity the whole family can participate in. We pack the stroller for the baby and the balance bike for the toddler and hit the trail, making stops at the equipment to get a workout in!
|
Pros: Fellows Road Park has it all when it comes to structured recreation: Soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, pickleball, baseball, squash, and shuffleboard can all be played at this park. The true gem, however, is the fitness trail scattered with a variety of fitness equipment and instructions of use for ages 13+. For the younger kiddos, the park has a decent sized playground with infant swings and unique fire truck and school bus structures. The playground is both in the sun and shade and includes an area of wood chips as well as artificial turf. The park is well maintained, parking is plentiful and the pavilions make for a good spot to host a party.
Cons: There are two bathroom buildings, however they are a walk away from the playground. Some of the courts are reported to be cracking and in need of maintenance. Playground is fairly close to the parking lot. Notes: Download QR Code Reader on smartphone for fitness trail |

|
Pros: The playground at the Perinton Recreation Center is open to the public, fenced and gated with a padded play surface. The equipment and environment is nicely designed for preschool children and younger. Venture inside the recreation center, and you will find a beautiful aquatics center and preschool open gym! More on that here.
Cons: The playground is in direct sun. Though we have not experienced it, the playground may be shared with recreational programs and therefore could get crowded. Notes: Bathrooms can be found within the recreation center. Center Park is just behind the Recreation Center where you can find a larger playground as well as hiking trails. |

What We Love: We love going to Perinton Park to grill while enjoying the views along the canal. It's a great spot for a peaceful picnic with its bathroom facilities and large playground nearby!
|
Pros: Perinton Park is a lovely park for kids and adults alike. As the park is along the canal, one can find plenty to do from fishing to biking to strolling the canal path. Not too far from the canal is a tennis court and basketball court creating a safe barrier from the canal for the large playground. The park is full of large trees, picnic tables and grills creating a wonderful picnic opportunity. The park features both a pavilion and a lodge for party opportunities. The park and restrooms are well maintained and parking is plentiful.
Cons: This park doesn't have the "wow" factor upon entering, as some of the other themed playgrounds do. With that said, there really isn't anything negative to say about this park. Notes: Be sure to check out Party in the Park: A fun festival complete with 4 mile race, parade, food trucks and bounces houses held on the fourth of July. |

Pros: This is a wonderful little park to fulfill your child's curiosity of where vegetables come from. The large community garden is open to stroll and smell the flowers. The park is usually less crowded than most and includes tennis courts and plenty of open space.
Cons: The playground is small and the sand box needs some toys and upkeep. Notes: Bring toys for sandbox |
