Kiley is a mom of 3 with a genuine love and passion for residing in, serving and exploring the city of Rochester.
Tell us about yourself!
We have two kids with one on the way! We live in the 19th Ward and we absolutely love it! We've lived in Rochester since summer of 2016. We lived in an apartment in center City until we bought our house in February 2019.
What's is your favorite local playground?
Genesee Valley Park has a really nice, fun playground! We love checking out new playgrounds! Our most frequented playgrounds are West High Field and the playground at School 29 because we can walk to them!
What's your favorite Library?
We LOVE Arnett! It's a block from our house which is a huge plus, but the staff there is incredible! They work so hard to organize great programs and activities for the kids and they really love and care about the kids who come in!
If you had $1000 and 3 days, what would be your ideal Rochester staycation?
Oh man! We'd eat at Harry G's and Pure Imagine Cafe with lots of friends(our favorite kid friendly restaurants!), go to the Science Museum and see a planetarium show, the zoo, and the conservatory, and probably stay at a local hotel with a pool, just so it felt like a getaway :) and then we'd walk around Park Ave and East Ave and do a little shopping with whatever was left!
What is your go-to family friendly activity?
Grabbing donuts at Boxcar and walking around the public market!
What is your favorite Rochester hidden gem?
Lower Falls! We somehow just recently discovered it, but we had so much fun walking the trails and looking at the waterfalls!
What do you do with the kiddos during those long Rochester winters?
The YMCAs! We're so blessed to have a ton of great Ys in our area! We absolutely love being members there! We also spend A LOT of time in libraries in the winter! And then the Lamberton Conservatory is a must! It's so affordable and you feel like you're outside! It helps us get some fresh air and lifts our spirits :)
What advice to you have for fellow mamas?
Find your community and ask for help! You really can't do this alone. And explore your city!! Rochester is amazing! Take advantage of everything it has to offer!
