Pros: This playground is one of the few surviving wooden playgrounds in the area and is in great shape! The playground is vast leaving a lot for children to explore.
Cons: There is no public bathroom nearby and playground is in direct sun. As this playground is not located within a park, there are not any grills and few picnic tables. Notes: The playground may be hard to see from the road as it is tucked behind Saint Catherine of Siena Church |
27 Pond Rd, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472
What We Love: Mendon Ponds offers a full day of fun. Between the fairy trail, nature center, WIld Wings, playground and pond, we can pack a lunch and spend the whole day at the park!
|
Pros: From fishing, to hiking, to kayaking, to the playground and bird sanctuary, Mendon Ponds Park can supply a full day of fun! There is plenty to do and unlimited opportunities to connect with nature in all seasons. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day.
Cons: As this is a vast park, driving is often required to get from one activity to the next. Bathrooms by playground need some TLC and are locked at times. Notes: No dogs allowed in bird sanctuary. Bird Sanctuary and playground are driving distance from one another. Playground is off of Douglas Rd. Check for ticks! Reported Car break ins. |

Pros: This Mendon playground is partially shaded and near the towns highway department so you are likely to spot some heavy equipment! This is also one of the few playgrounds with one of those cars kiddos can sit in!
Cons: The equipment is outdated and the playground as a whole could use some maintenance. |
